Dear Members,

We would like to make you aware of an executive decision that was made this week by your board members. We will be enforcing a new policy within our group that we would like to inform you about.

This policy is in regards to responding YES to an event on our app. We appreciate that you would like to attend our events! However, we are experiencing problems as a result of members responding YES and then not showing up to the event. By not showing up, there are implications such as numbers not working out for Euchre or Bunco, or by preventing someone on the waitlist an opportunity to take your place at our potlucks, Membership appreciation events, and pool parties.

We have encouraged our members to change their response as soon as you know that your plans have changed. However, the no shows are still continuing. Therefore, we are taking a more serious approach to this problem.

Moving forward, if you sign up YES to an event and you are a NO SHOW, you will be suspended from signing up and enjoying the following month’s events. Your status on the app will change to inactive. For instance, if you sign up and miss Bunco – you will be able to finish that month’s activities, but the next month you will be prevented from attending every activity we offer.

We understand that life gets busy and emergencies happen. Please reach out to us if that is the case and we will work with you. However, we have to be better and show up if you sign up.
